A Powerful Weapon
------------------
Every one has in him
A powerful weapon to show his inner skill.
A tiny brush plays this role
For a Painter to depict his painting skills.
So is a Singer gifted with a melodious voice
Opens his heart out as he sets to singh
A Dancer uses his eyes and moves
To soothe the ambience and gladen the mass.
A Spaker uses words to convey his thoughts
And so does a Poet thro' Rhythmic lines
A Saint uses Silence as his weapon
As he conveys his thoughts to people at large.
If there be any amongst us
Not possessing any weapon above
God has given one weapon common to all
Lies beneath which the other weapons seen above.
This is the weapon of FAITH and DRIVE in SELF
On using which alone the other weapons come to play
This if deligently used would bring to fore
The other weapons seen above
And so God has given to everyone on earth
A powerful weapon to use in life.
Use it we should with malice to none
Only then we shall succeed in reaching the goal.

GIVE ME
SOURCE Internet Believed to have been written 600 Years ago. Original Writer not known.Compiled and suitably modified by this writer (Self)to meet the current days' needs.
Give me a good digestion my Lord
And also something to digest
Give me a healthy body my Lord
With a sense to keep it at its best.
Give me a healthy mind,my Lord
To keep the Good and Pure in sight
which seeing sin is not appalled
But finds some way to set it right.
Give me a mind that is not bored my Lord
That does not whimper, whine or sigh
Do not let me worry now or ever
Over this perishable thing called 'I'
Give me a sense of humour,my Lord
To laugh when others' jokes on me
To get some happiness from Life for ever
And to pass it on to other Folks if need be.

OH MY LORD
Lord of the Three Worlds
I thank You for being by my side
Whenever I thought of You
Blessed will I be
If I remember You all the time.
OH MY LORD
Lord of the Three Worlds
I thank U for saving me
From Helplessness and Pitfalls
I seek Ur blessings with Ur Divine Vision
Of what lies beyond my current living
Guide me to understand Reality from Delusion.
Oh My LORD
Lord of the Three Worlds
I know I can do nothing on my own
Without UR grace and blessings
Or without remembering U all the time
Give me UR support now and forever
To release myself from the cycle of Birth and Death
And from the unspent vasanas amassed from my past deeds
Oh My LORD
Lord of the Three worlds
I seek Ur mercy to serve You till eternity
I know I have to repay the debt
For the unlimited bliss U have showered on me
There is nothing this wayward self can do
But to denote my existance eternally to You
To do this I seek Ur Benediction.

CARE FOR HUMANITY
Acknowledgement---- This Poem composed by the writer (Self)is based on the English translation of the Original in Sanskrit provided by BAPS SRI SWAMINARAYAN MANDIR TRUST London as found in ATHARVANA VEDA and other scriptures in HINDUISM to be able to understand the oldest living scripture in its proper perspective. The writer is not certain whether this writing in the form of the poem serves its purpose.Any inadequacy in the same is entirely due to deficiency on the part of this writer for which I seek your pardon.
We are the living Creatures
Of the same Lord as in above
Our skins may be coloured
Fair, Dark or Tanned.
We may speak in different tongues
Show Faith in different beliefs
Belong to different cultures
Or destined to live as Man or Woman.
We still share the same home
The Earth beneath on which we roam
We are born in the same planet
Covered by the same Skies above.
Gazing at the same stars
Breathing the same Air
Our needs are also common
And our blood is Red in us all.
We all Born,Live and Die
Equally ignorent of the Life beyond
Each with a mission to complete
We live our life as destined by God.
Whence have We come and
Whither are We going?
Quite frankly We do not know
We seek answers in the psalm of life.
As We live,We must live together
And pray in Mass to our Lord above
Though Singly to live we may be able
Collectively alone can we survive.

A S K M Y S E L F
As I glance thro' News Prints
Or sit before the 'Idiot Box
I stumble upon the same News
Be it Day,Eve or Dark.
I find every day without a fail
Murder at one or other place
Or a woman struggling to protect her chaste
Or ill health Infants resigned to fate.
If this were not enough to grieve
I find Man fighting with his Fellowman
To snatch the belongings of one by the other
Always in trance without a Stance.
I know Mother Nature provides to All
Enough to meet the genguine needs of man
Tis the Man who creates misery on his own
Trying to meet his unsatiable wants.
Nature shows her fury then
Thro'Rains,Floods and Fireballs thrown
With these wiping off the crops and grains
Man standing helpless gets torn and tossed around.
While in Richness man forgets the God
Thinking every success of his as his own
In grief he looks to God above
To protect him from sliding down the hill.
Is it to draw the man towards Him
That God creates such tantrum moves
So that "If Goodness leads him not
Yet Weariness may toss him to His breast".

FOOD FOR THOUGHT
Futile it is for U to regret
In bitter thoughts or Tearful eyes
Futile it is for U to look back
Stirring the memories and Ur moist eyes.
What U have done cannot be undone
All Ur tears cannot wash it out
U cannot take even one step forward
If drowned by Fear or chained by doubt.
There is no courage in the Weak
And no strength in that Pensive mood
Wise move forward even as they stumble
Only the Meek will sit and brood.
What U have been,U already have been
Nothing on earth can turn it back
What U are U alone can tell
"Time and Tide Wait for No Man".
So Rise Up,My Friend and Resolve to Face
The Present in U and by U alone
"Act,Act In The Living Present
Heart Within and God overhead".

Farewell
As I depart from you, my LOVE
To a place whence never to return,
Let not any tears from your eyes wet your face
Nor your mind carry any sad thoughts for me.
You know we lived our lifes together
With adequate joy enough if not to spare
Never grieved while we lived together
Why then grieve after we depart?
Shall wait for you in heaven
To join me soon,my dear
Till then "If Thou wilt Remember
Or If Thou wilt Forget".
